Services
By water, rail, and road
Via deep-sea vessels, barges and feeders, trains, or trucks. RWG facilitates the smooth transit of an impressive 2.35 million TEU per year across the European hinterland. We accomplish this almost entirely through automation, supported by fully digitised information processes.
RWG Premium Terminal Data via Cargo Controller
RWG offers Premium Terminal Data through Portbase’s Cargo Controller. This service provides shippers and forwarders with complete insight into the status of import containers via the Port of Rotterdam. Data such as ETA, EDT, ETD, and gate-out times is delivered directly from the terminal system, ensuring reliable insights, more efficient logistics, and cost savings. Access requires a Cargo Controller account. RWG’s terms and conditions can be found here.

Mammoth cranes for mega vessels
Deep sea
RWG efficiently handles loading and unloading for the world's largest container vessels. Our largest cranes have a lifting height of no less than 56 metres and can handle containers stacked up to 26 rows wide on board of ships.
- 13 deep-sea cranes
- 1,150 metres of quay
- 20 metres draught

Seamless container transit
Feeder
Feeder ships depart from both the barge and deep-sea quays to a vast network of European destinations. These feeder connections are seamlessly integrated with the arrival and departure times of deep-sea vessels, ensuring efficient container transit.
- 3 cranes
- 550 metres barge/feeder quay
- 11 metres draught

Multiple concepts for sustainable transport
Barge
RWG champions sustainable transport of containers to and from the hinterland via barge. We are involved in the NextLogic project, which offers neutral, comprehensive planning for all inland waterway vessel visits to the terminal.
- 7 inland barge concepts
- 3 cranes
- 550 metres of quay
- 11 metres draught

Direct connections to Europe
Rail
RWG has direct rail connections to the European rail network. Rail transport has a lower environmental impact than road transport. Therefore, we encourage and support the use of trains as a transport option.
- 2 cranes
- 6 tracks
- 750 metres of rail

Real-time information, optimal flow
