The Process
At RWG, we pride ourselves on seamless transhipment. That's why as much as possible on our terminal takes place automatically. From unloading container ships with our quay cranes to the internal transport of containers, customs inspections, and loading containers onto ships, trains, or lorries. Stakeholders are kept informed of container locations in real-time.
Seamless access to Europe
The Maasvlakte 2 project has reshaped the Dutch coastline, expanding the nation’s boundaries. An area of 2,000 hectares that has moved the coastline a full three and a half kilometres. This new piece of land, five metres above Amsterdam Ordnance Datum (NAP), is the ideal location for seamless handling and transhipment of containers from all over the world to the hinterland of the Netherlands and Europe, thanks to its excellent accessibility.
