Access to RWG Premium Terminal Data via Cargo Controller
From Wednesday 5 February 2025, Rotterdam World Gateway (RWG) will make Premium Terminal Data available via the Portbase service Cargo Controller. This provides liners and forwarders with enhanced insight into the status of their import containers through the Port of Rotterdam.
More transparency in container processes
This data gives users more insight into their logistics processes. It helps optimize supply chains and cargo flows, enables more efficient handling, and provides clarity on costs such as detention and demurrage. RWG believes this data service makes a significant contribution to smoother and more effective logistics operations.

All terminal data on one screen
With the addition of RWG’s data, all deepsea terminals in Rotterdam are now connected to Cargo Controller. This means shippers and forwarders can view all relevant information one one screen, without the need to consult multiple platforms or websites. All data is secure and only available to authorized parties. The data is delivered directly from the terminal’s system, which means it is both current and reliable. This saves time, increases efficiency, and assists in proactive planning.
RWG will provide the following key data elements:
- Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) of the vessel.
- Expected Discharge Time (EDT), based on the discharge sequence.
- Expected Time of Departure (ETD) of the vessel.
- Gate-out data: the exact time the container leaves the terminal.
Access to RWG Premium Terminal Data
To access this data, a Cargo Controller account from Portbase is required. Cargo Controller is available via a simple web interface or can be fully integrated into your own systems via API.
